
TIM ROSS HUMANITARIAN AWARD
Definition
The Tim Ross Humanitarian Award was established to recognize an individual(or individuals given the circumstance) who have exemplified the mission of the Washington State CISM-Net. The individual(s) must have made outstanding contribution of significance to the improvement, promotion, development and progress of humanitarian acts of psychological support of emergency services
personnel.
Criteria
This award will be presented to individual(s) whose deeds and actions were acknowledged by their peers and voted by the Washington CISM-Net Board. An award request must be submitted in writing to the Washington State CISM-Net Board.
Eligibility
This award may be presented to persons either in or outside the field of emergency services or mental health profession. The individual(s) is not required to attend the Washington State CISM-Net Conference to receive their award.
Evaluation & Selection Criteria
The Washington State CISM-Net Board may or may not select a recipient for any given year. Individuals who are not selected shall receive honorable mention and be acknowledged by their nomination at the conference. The below criteria may be used in the evaluation and selection process of the award:
1) The actions or contributions promote the mission of the Washington State CISM-Net.
2) The actions or contributions enhance the emotional and psychological support of persons in the emergency services or related professions.
3) The actions or contributions are deemed by a group who participate in critical incident stress management to meet #2.
4) Individuals recommended or nominated may be given consideration over those who are not members of the Washington State CISM-Net.
Application Procedures
A nomination for a Tim Ross Humanitarian Award must be in writing and submitted to the Washington State CISM-Net Board. It may include pictures and support documentation.

no later than August 31, 2007.
Individuals receiving this award will receive a plaque and complimentary registration to the WA CISM Network Conference the following year. The individual's name will be engraved on a perpetual plaque.
The Washington State CISM-Net Board may revoke any award for just cause. Such revocation could include false and misrepresentation, criminal or unethical behavior and actions deemed by the Board in conflict of the mission and values of the Washington State CISM-Net.
